Some sessions are beautiful for the light and setting. Others are meaningful for the history behind them. This one was both.
I’ve had the privilege of photographing Ashley and her family for years - all the way back to when her oldest turned one. Watching families grow over time is one of the greatest honors of this work, and this session felt like a quiet reminder of just how much love, trust, and resilience live inside these moments.
This time together felt especially tender. There was a softness to the way they moved through the afternoon - lingering hugs, spontaneous laughter, hands instinctively reaching for one another. The kind of connection that doesn’t need direction. Just space.
Set against the natural beauty of Great Falls, the session unfolded gently. No pressure, no perfection - just presence. Children being fully themselves. A mother soaking in the fleetingness of this season. The kind of moments that feel small while they’re happening, but mean everything in retrospect.
These photographs are less about how things looked and more about how they felt: grounded, honest, deeply connected. A family continuing to write their story - with love at the center.
It’s a gift to be invited back year after year, to document not just milestones, but the evolving story of a family. And this chapter felt especially meaningful.
