THE STORY

Whitney & Michael, Washington DC natives, fell in love with the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild on a recent trip to the French Riviera, and they just knew that this was the place they wanted to celebrate their wedding. Filled with exquisite gardens, the grand yet intimate spaces throughout the venue provided a perfect setting for the couple to host their family and friends from all over the globe.

Together with Wayne from Wayne Riley flowers, Whitney and Michael incorporated modern flowers and a neutral yet bold color scheme with ivory, deep plum pink and green to enhance the magic of the locale.

Whitney, an interior designer, designed a custom palm print that was used throughout the couple's wedding design; from their invitations to custom pillow covers during cocktail hour. Whitney's uncle, made a custom watercolor painting of the Villa that also paired as a perfect keepsake for guests.

After an intimate ceremony overlooking the Mediterranean sea, guests mingled, wined and dined in the al fresco gardens of the magnificent estate. The grooms gave heartwarming toasts to each of their parents, before a celebratory croquembouche and firework event that kicked off the after party.
