Katie and Luis’ Virginia estate wedding was attended by just 36 guests, and it’s intimate feel made it all the more special. The couple met at Northwestern University and fell in love shortly after. When Katie planned a weekend getaway in Charlottesville overlooking the rolling hills and Virginia scenery, Luis surprised her by proposing. The couple knew they wanted to return to Virginia for their wedding, as it held such a special place in their hearts! Their wedding was designed on the property of Catesby Estate, expertly executed by planner and designer Kaitlin with Cheers Darling Events. The couple utilized the intimate garden for their ceremony, the portico area for an al fresco dinner, and dancing in a petite Sperry tent; guiding their guests through an unforgettable celebration. Incorporating Mexican heritage elements as a nod to Luis’ family, they also buried a bottle of bourbon to ensure the beautiful weather for the weekend. What a perfect start to this sweet couple’s future!
