Alison & Max’s chic country club DC wedding was held on a perfect October day, full of sunshine and joy. Designed with blue velvet and classic magnolia flowers at the heart of the inspiration, the bride’s vision of a classic, southern yet fresh wedding came to fruition through Lauryn Prattes’ design. After getting ready at the bride’s home, Allie and her father drove in his vintage convertible to their church ceremony- greeted by a whole crew of flower girls & ring bearers! The couple wanted a fun, mingling reception and chose to have a cocktail hour style evening- which meant that the design focused on an incredible head table with blue velvet linens, blue & white china, and chic lampshades offset with black velvet chairs. Their cocktail hour on the terrace featured an ‘apres ski’ vibe, as a nod to their current home in Vail, Colorado. Dinner and dancing concluded with a late night treat of an apple ‘Seiter’ cart in honor of the groom’s last name, freshly rolled cigars and custom cocktail IV bags for guests to conclude the night on a high note.
