ABOUT
Although I'd much rather focus on you and let my images speak for themselves, I understand it is important that you can also catch a glimpse of what I'm all about. As a creative soul, I'm always planning new projects and seek beauty in unexpected places. My background in art and photography began in the darkroom during my fine art photography studies at Virginia Commonwealth University, and my creative perspective has grown with each passing experience. Working on the fashion photography scene in New York City and then studying art direction in Barcelona, my style fuses an editorial approach with photojournalism, capturing moments with emotion and authenticity. I have a passion for capturing families and little ones- with all the messy, unexpected, and beautiful moments that unfold!
As a photographer, I seek to capture the magical moments of everyday life as a best friend would, with the compassion, energy, and dedication it deserves. Using predominantly analog film photography, I captures the authentic emotion using a fine art approach. I love offering a calming presence throughout the session, and I can establish trust with even the feistiest of toddlers, resulting in a set of images that capture your beautiful family.
DETAILS
Each session includes about an hour of photography time and the high resolution digital images. The images will be hosted in an online gallery for 6 months. Prints, wall portraits, gallery wrap canvases and albums are available to purchase through the online gallery. Locations for baby sessions are best photographed at home, which gives a natural, relaxed vibe for the session is extra comfortable for milk & snuggle breaks. Neutral, naturally bright spaces work best to keep the focus soft and on the baby.
STYLING
We know that getting your family ready and in one place is not an easy feat- much less coordinated and photo-ready! We encourage you to select looks that coordinate with your personalties and the location you've chosen. If we'll be at home, barefoot and a comfortable maxi dress for Mom is perfect, and Dad's favorite jeans and a white tee shirt would coordinate perfectly.
I find that little ones feel best when they're comfortable, so nothing overly dressy is best. For mom, I recommend choosing something you love and feel great in first, and then building the family's outfits around that. Neutrals photograph really well, and sticking with a color palette of 3 colors is always a good rule of thumb. I'm always happy to help with suggestions and ideas in advance!

INVESTMENT
I feel so honored to work with all of our clients and want to fully commit my time, creative energy, and detailed attention to getting to know each one of you. To do so, I accept a limited number of portrait commissions each year.
Each session includes the photography time (approx 1 hour) and the high resolution digital images. The images will be hosted in an online gallery for 6 months. Prints, wall portraits, gallery wrap canvases and albums are available to purchase through the online gallery. Session fee is for immediate family session, extended family sessions are $1500.
